Consultancy
Risk and compliance help from experienced people, for when you want more than software can give you: reviews, project work and support, scoped to your business.
What we can help with
- Independent review. A person, not software, tests your records and controls, using the evidence already in your platform records as the starting point.
- Risk and compliance reviews. A review of your policies and procedures, your risks, your suppliers, your continuity plan, or how you handle complaints, incidents and breaches.
- Project work. Help with a risk or compliance project, from setting something up to checking what you already have.
Why independent testing is done by a person
A CAP is the programme of independent checks that test whether your processes and controls are effective. The FMA's guidance describes that independence in human and organisational terms: a separate person or function, an external organisation, or independent experts. Whether software could ever satisfy it hasn't been settled, so we don't claim it can. The platform holds your evidence; a person does the independent check.
Keeping it independent
Where independence matters, such as independent testing of a compliance programme, we tell you who is doing the work and keep it separate from any other work we do for you. If we bring in an external reviewer who is not part of Verfapp, we tell you before they start, and we tell you if we receive a fee for referring you.
How it works
- You tell us what you need using the form below.
- We agree the scope with you: what's included, who will carry out the work, the price and what you'll receive. Nothing starts until you agree.
- The work is carried out, using the evidence in your platform records where you have it.
- You receive the findings or the finished work.
Price
There is no fixed price. It depends on the size of your business and what you need. We give you a quote and agree it with you before any work starts. See Pricing.
What it isn't
- It doesn't replace your own responsibilities as a business, including any compliance testing arrangements you are required to have.
- It isn't legal advice.
- It isn't a guarantee about how a regulator will assess you.
